Pushing through the digitally-dominated era of music, Matthias Tanzmann’s label Moon Harbour has stoically withstood the test of time. Formed in 2000, the label has not only progressed business-wise but in its musical output as well as it has swayed from deep house to the tech house side of the musical spectrum. In a recent interview with Pulse Radio, Matthias admits that although they’ve had to overcome obstacles with vinyl distributors, Moon Harbour has “always kind of managed to survive” and that “over the years Moon Harbour has become a brand, not just known for its music but also for its DJs and the parties.” We couldn’t agree with you more Matthias! “Playa del Carmen has become a fundamental piece of the world’s electronic music scene. The BPM Festival attracts people from all around the world and it’s a beautiful escape during the winter. In that aspect, it reminds of Ibiza in the way that it unites the scene in a beautiful location full of beach and sun.” Matthias told THUMP on The BPM Festival.
Join the label’s 15th anniversary at The BPM Festival at its celebratory 15 Years of Moon Harbour showcase on Friday, January 8 at La Santanera.
