¡Feliz Viernes! A veteran of the Chicago house music scene and originator of Mushroom Jazz, our amigo Mark Farina schools us in all things house as he serves up the tunes for your weekend in the next installment of The BPM Festival Podcast.
Initially starting as a club night in San Francisco, Mark Farina expanded Mushroom Jazz into a series of compilations most notably known for his mixing of elements from jazz, downtempo, hip hop and house music. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Mushroom Jazz 8 will be released in 2016, the first compilation since 2010.
Mark Farina makes his way down to Playa as he plays the I’m A House Gangster showcase on Saturday, January 16 at Salsanera from 10pm to 6am with DJ Sneak, Doc Martin, DJ Joeski, Miguel Migs, and Oscar G.
